And they opened with only 4 beers on draft.

On the one hand, even lasting a full day is pretty great. Sure, lasting the weekend would be ideal, but still not bad by any means for a hyped release.

And that's the lowest Mikerphone ever had available. More didn't open last weekend.

I totally get that they're figuring it out still, and it's awesome that they're popular, but still. You're a brewery. Have beer on Draft available. It's been 6 weeks. Maybe wait on the monster adjunct stout until you can have a 4th beer available.

Did the cans come out of More or a contract facility? If More, maybe they should move the cans to a contract facility so they can focus the available fermenters on stuff to serve at brewpub.

But everyone wants the monster adjunct stout NOW!

No, I want it in the middle of winter so those people who wait 6 hours in line for a stout all freeze to death....

I stopped in at More today and the bartender mentioned they will be canning/releasing 2 new IPA'S next weekend. One of them will be a double dry hopped version of Loose Candies and the other will be called Strong Arm (if I remember correctly).

Im with you on this. I still haven't made it out there since I 1) can't make the can releases and 2) everytime I go to stop in they only have 2 or 3 beers on tap so it feels like it isn't worth it.

Any insight if More has and crowlers to go? Or, doubtful, cans of dusty?

I believe crowlers of Dusty are available...may want to call to verify. Cans are sold out.

Somebody in the Henna line told me that Loose Candies is the recipe for Juicy, just using a different hop profile. Apparently his source was somebody who is close friends with the More guys - can anybody confirm?

If that is the case, hopefully the DDH version will be more along the lines of how Juicy was, as I didn't care for the OG Loose Candies.

If the hop profile was different - isn't it a different recipe?

Not necessarily - everything else could be the same just except for the hops used.

Juicy had Galaxy whereas Loose Candies has Vic Secret.

I didn't specifically ask about that one, but in conversation with someone that talked to Shaun, I thought he mentioned that Dusty is the NE Slapper recipe. So yes...I heard from a guy that heard from a guy, so take that with a grain of salt.

I think you may have just proved @Chuckdiesel24's point.

I suppose it could be like making an apple pie versus a peach pie...you can have all the same ingredients for the crust as well as the filling, except for substituting a different fruit. I think it comes down to semantics and how strict one's definition of a recipe is. Bear in mind that I have no knowledge of any brewing, so perhaps my pie analogy doesn't make sense (and instead just makes me hungry).

I get what he/you are saying - but I'm thinking of it like your pie analogy. I can make the same recipe for a pie but switch out the filling and its essentially the same recipe with one change. You could have the same IPA recipe that is the same with the malt bill, yeast, and brewing process but you switch out the hops - kind of like what Special Sauce is for Mikerphone. Same beer with differing hops. But again, yes, I get yours and @Chuckdiesel24's point about it also technically not being the same. :stuck_out_tongue:

Using the pie analogy, I would say it's more akin to if everything is the same, except this time for chicken pot pie, instead of onions, you used Fennel. Sure, the recipe is different, and you can easily taste the difference, but everything that makes it the dish you love is the same, unless you really hate Fennel.

Being made in a new kitchen though to further the analogy
