You should be able to buy cans in the taproom too I would think. The problem here is people who only want cans need to wait hours in line to get in and buy them. There should be a to-go line and a taproom line like Mikerphone IMO. One line is a fucking horrible idea.

Exactly- and if the supply is so limited this weekend, they could have a certain amount of cans for the to go only line and hold some cans back for the taproom patrons.

Maybe people shouldn't line up for beer from a brewery they have never tried? Just a thought.

I mean, it is a brewer they know pretty well though.

This might be just because I am too literal, but should we hope the customers respect the neighbors? The Brewery only has so much control.

Yea, @shaun_the_brewer is driving the hype for More. Without him there, I don't think most people would care.

I suspect that Shaun expects this Saturday to look somewhat like the releases at Ram - people are mostly getting cans to go, some people sit around and have a couple beers, but don't really stay very long. Ram was never super crowded in the sitting area during the releases since most people weren't there to sit and eat a meal. I just am not not so sure about that.

You are 1000000% correct. I didn't mean to imply the onus was on the brewery alone, falls just as much if not more on the customers.

but the backlash will fall almost exclusively on the brewery if not.

That's f'in brilliant! If the line winds up stretching too long, rather than getting upset you have to wait hours for a beer, you can get the help you need!

Maybe the one line thing is a way to encourage people to actually sit down and have beer and...enjoy the brewery? I know that's a pie in the sky idea, but I've come to appreciate the aspect of having some beer on tap even moreso than getting beer to go.

I'll be sure to mention to my wife that she not schedule things for Saturday afternoons, in the summer. Why? So I can sit at a brewery drinking the very same beer I can get in cans and be on my way.

Yeah, but if you want those cans to go you better not have your wife schedule anything in the mornings on Saturday.

Or just schedule things for yourself and don't limit yourself to Saturday afternoons??? By no means do I get out much, but I find time to go to places still, even with a wife and 2 kids.

Find some time you don't have much going on and go swing by for an hour. I'm guessing you could have lunch or dinner there...with your wife.

Or just not have a wife or kids, so you can pick up cans and stay there all day and drink. :stuck_out_tongue:

    Hey Everyone,
Please don't worry. Can sales will not stop until theyre all gone. When we hit capacity we will simply start a wait list for those who wish to go into the tap room so the line will keep moving. Those who wish to go into the taproom see the host and put their name down, those who don't, simply leave with your cans. We can seat 140 people, hopefully that helps.

    Cheers,
    Shaun

Yay. That should keep all those panties from bunching up. Well planned. But now the FIBs can't bitch about anything.
