I just love all the clamor over the concept of "loyalty" for a place that's been open for less than one year.

 

Totally agree with you. The only thing I would say is some may feel loyal to Shaun from his days at RAM. I was at his S'more Luv Side Note release and would of killed to get tickets to this Henna release, but I'm not upset about it at all. If I get a chance to try this batch, it'll happen.

 

For a site called “Beer Advocate” how do people not have Bottleshare groups where 3 or 4 people got tickets? If you don’t get to drink this beer, it’s for lack of trying.

 

Being loyal to Shaun is one thing, but the same thing could be said for people that supported Ardmore for years, and way before More was around.

 

The new money does pit a strain on everything. Typically consists of people who on one hand state every beer they try sucks but on the other hand will try to sell you said "sucky" beer for 10-12x mark up.

I was referring to new money loyalty and it was directed mainly in regards to the Facebook complainers.

I get the loyalty for Shaun as he has been brewing up extremely great beers for a while and More Brewing would not have gotten off to such a hot start if it were not for his reputation and fans of his beers. However , the loyal following has become quite large and I feel large enough to the extent that you can't offer every one some sort of privilege or discount.

 

Anyone, want to go in with me on a new brewery? It's going to be called LëSS and we'll brew ba whalez. We'll sell them exclusively to out of state people, but we'll also put up fake lotteries that no one actually wins.

 

Love all these people complaining about "new money" in the beer scene when they've been on this site since 2016.

 

That already exists, it’s called Toppling Goliath.

 

Yeah, but we won't sell subpar contract cans to local markets. We'll put up photoshopped Instagrams of cans.

Yea, is it such a personal crisis to wait for the next release? It's not like we're a one brewery town. So weird the meltdowns thrown from FOMO when we are so spoiled with the variety of great beer and breweries in Chicago.

 

I've only had 1 or 2 of Shaun's beers and I won the lottery
