Had a couple of the fresh Scythe cans last night - got more of the rye and maltiness this go round.

I've only had skillet, I should try some more of their stuff considering how much I love skillet.

The pilsner was great and I'm a big fan of Scythe. These guys do some great stuff.

Shadowclock is so awesome. Love the hop profile on that beer. I would love to be able to get it regularly.

Yeah, I'm not a huge pilsner fan, but this one does the trick. Not a huge bite and some nice honey sweetness.

All the cans so far have been good and all are worth buying/trying IMO. But I'd rank 'em like this:

    Skillet
    Pils
    Scythe
    Saison

I took a bunch of the Pils to Lock'n festival in VA last weekend and they were a big hit. Everyone was crushing them, no matter what styles they normally drink.

Skillet and Bolo were my two favorites of the four. I missed out on the three Bolo cases that made it to Salud beer shop but luckily my friend picked up some for us to try. Can't wait for it to come around again.

Btw, I don't mean to derail this thread, but everyone in the area should check out Burial's facebook post today and swing by there sometime this week to grab a delicious pint of one of their coffee beers and contribute to a good cause. We had a great time at their event this past weekend, but I wish I could be there this week to support them as well.

And that's all I have to say about that.

High country is definitely a newer progressive sound for them. I really like high country, empty temples and tears like diamonds. It's enjoyable and still has their groove but my favorite album is still Gods of the Earth. What about you duder?

More Skillet cans next week, per their FB post this morning.

Nobody get in my way when they hit or I'll knock ya down like my mom going after a half-off flatscreen at Best Buy on Black Friday!

That's cheaper than last time they came around, they were $5.99 each but there wasn't a limit.
