Morels and beers

    A bunch of morels came into my possession yesterday and as I was drinking a Gubna while eating some fried in butter and bacon I was wondering about other pairings.
    What are your favorite morel recipes and beer pairings?

    Yeah not much there, figured I'd ask the locals. Doing a morel za with Schell's The Current tonight!

    Morels are great! Though they are about done where I'm at. Can't go wrong with a basic pale ale, then again you can never go wrong with a pale ale. I drank a bottle of Cuvee Renee with some recently and that made a nice combo

    We had a bottle share last night and one of the participants who is a chef was gracious enough to bring out a platter of fried morels. There were just regular fried ones, and then Morel Caps stuffed with crab rangoon mixture and fried..those were ridiculous.
