    I hope they silently/secretly release all of their beers, whether special release or otherwise (including taproom and retail account bottles).

    They tried that will Assassin and of course people found out and were waiting when the stores opened. I would think this creates even a biggger mess with people racing to decorah (or around town), blowing TG phones up, pissed when they find out they didn't get anything, mad at the brewery, etc. I figure with a ticketed/lottery system you avoid all of the above minus the phone calls and people being pissed anyway but likely less pissed since they at least had a chance.

    The other thing was that last year was just a really nice all-day event and visit to IA. Regardless of who would get it in a ticketed/lotto scenario, kind of sad to see that replaced with people bum rushing a brewery on a Wednesday afternoon.

    I wouldn't put much stock in TG tweets at this point...

    That said, if they did a silent release, that's second only to a ticketed release (IMHO) as a better way to handle these small-bottle roll-outs. I'd prefer every brewery in the country took care of their locals first, including TG.

    Actually, KBBS was pretty bad last year and you could tell it was the end of releases in that manner for them at that particular location going forward.. because they'd only get MORE crowded..

    Assassin/MD 2013 was one of the best releases I've ever been to though.
