Morrison's bottle shares - Long Island

    just caught wind that morrison's in plainview is hosting another bottle share on wed. hope to see some of you maniacs there.

    They have pretty good food and usually great beers on tap. The bottle shares have been pretty good so far.

    agree with this --v

    as a picky eater who doesn't eat a wide variety of foods, i've been extremely happy with morrison's food. to me, it is very high quality pub food with a bit of a gourmet flair here and there...ie, great food to eat with great beer. they recently added more taps giving greater variety and they always have good stuff on tap (sometimes tough to pick between the options)...and my favorite part is that they are located minutes from my home (speaking of which, if you are in syosset and into beer, we should pop bottles!!! converse with me if you are interested)

    Great food, nice portions, reasonably priced and more importantly they ALWAYS have some quality beers on tap.

    ew, that gross beer.

    i was planning on bringing 3 fairly low bottle count dark horse brews from last years' 4elf and a growler of barrage 2nd ave ipa and probably a few other brews that would be cool to share. got any specific recommendations?

    you are a stout guy, right? i have the last 2 vintages of block 15 super nebula. it's their imperial stout and every year they age it in different bourbon barrels. alternatively in the new shiny stout dept, got some central waters 16. happy to bring whatever if you have suggestions.

    I don't have any suggestions, I was just thinking how much better the beer was at that first bottle share at Morrison's. And judging by the day and time I was probably pretty drunk when I wrote that.
