I just want to know where to take a leak. Then maybe I’d be comfortable to read a book or strum a uke for a few hours.

I don't mind being criticized, I can take it. My wife does it to me ALL THE TIME.

If you're talking to me, I'm a four hour round trip drive from the Answer, assuming there is no traffic on I-95 (haha). I'd rather sit under a tree reading a book and drinking a beer for four hours than negotiating traffic for four hours.

Also, they just reopened indoor dining at the Answer, and their simplified menu includes no bahn mi.

Also, if you're eating indoors anywhere at this point, you're dumb.

And finally, 3 Mortalis four packs=192 ounces of beer for $75. And I can drink it in 12 sittings. 6 Answer crowlers=192 ounces of beer for $125 and I have to drink it in 6 sittings.

Thanks for the head's up on this - I may just have to give this a go.

Collab sold out in about a minute at ETNYC.
Was tempted to try given the rave reviews but didn't get any.

Got to laugh at all the entitled Instagram followers' comments who missed out. The craft beer scene never fails to amaze.

Plenty of breweries making good fruited sours. There's always going to be new releases every week. No need to fret. That et stayed home 15 looks delicious as well

Stayed home got posted after the Hydras did. I was able to get both of them into my cart and my order placed, but I didn't realize how badly I was cutting it close by waiting the ~15 seconds for both beers to go live.

I was able to get my hands on one - shipping to PA - excited to try it.

Has Mortalis upped their production? Seems like cans are not selling out day of, let alone the long waits we had been hearing about. Just curious as I may be heading up that way at some point.

Thanks for saying what I’ve also been wondering. I’d love to hear some line updates from folks who have been there recent. I’m teaching remotely for the next two weeks.... maybe I could phone into class from line some time...

Perhaps people realized they were engaging in bizarre behavior? Or the re-sale market dried up?

In PA, the lines at Tired Hands just faded away. I'd like to think that people eventually just got wise to the scarcity marketing tactics. Either that, or they just moved on to the next shiny object when Imprint opened.

I mean - I'm with you here - I think it's absurd, and have said as much in this thread. But right now, I'm more concerned with the current state of things, because if people aren't acting insane, I'd like to grab some beer from there. Just don't follow closely enough to know whether they've expanded production, are releasing beers they've released often, or, as you said, people moved on to something else. Just curious as to the state of things up there.

They have up their production. They haven't opened for outdoor seating so they can up focus on brewing more beer. I showed up last Friday around 4 pm and still got 2 full cases of beer no line.

I was there two weeks ago for a Thursday release. Got there at like 3:45 (3pm open IIRC) and was in line like 30-35 minutes?

I don’t know why there are lines anywhere, anymore. Especially NY where you can get pretty much anything shipped.

Are you still in NY metro area? Damn that's a drive.

To be fair, there still aren't that many breweries in the area doing the Hydra style super thick sours. Some of Evil Twin NYC's stuff is sort of in that direction, but not to the same extent.

Yeah I usually stay the weekend at a buddies place whenever I make the 5 hour drive to mortalis. We have a bottle share the same night and the next day I instantly regret making the drive. I usually don't drive upstate as he sends me any beer I would like to try from them but occasionally I make the drive

Evil twin is great while mortalis is spectacular. Mortalis is fruited sours with all the pulp. I love it

Obviously beauty (or “what is beer” in this case) is in the eye of the beholder, but the line is drawn for me here. Everyone was raving about them at 2019 Green City but I just didn’t quite get it.
