Where did these come from? Maybe I'm way behind on this one, but all of a sudden, it seems like more and more breweries are starting to use them. And they're awesome! I tried an amber from Modern Times with Mosaic yesterday (Blazing World) and it was off the charts. I'm officially on the lookout for anything with Mosaic now. Anyways, back to the relevant part... Where did these come from? Are these a new varietal or have I been missing out for a long time now?

Yes, they are new. Mosaic was bred from Simcoe, Tomahawk and Nugget.

I believe Sam Adams Latitude 48 IPA was revamped this year with Mosaic, so you ought to be able to find that.

Wowzers. That's a pretty good lineage.

Terrapin-Mosaic. Find it. Buy it. Drink it.

I made a Mosaic blonde ale with a touch of Columbus last year. Probably the best I had made to this point in my homebrewing adventures. It has the dankness of simcoe with a super interesting fruit quality. Going to be buying these in bulk again.

The bad news is they are becoming the new "it" hop like citra was a few years ago, so it will be harder for me to get. On a positive note, more brewers will be doing more with these magnificent flowers.

Just bought this yesterday (the Fresh Squeezed, that is). Citra is my favorite hop right now, so I can only imagine what a Citra-Mosaic baby is going to be like. I'll find out when I get home from work today.

New Belgium's Rampant IPA uses mosaic hops, as well as centennial and calypso. So, that's a pretty easy to find and cheap option.

I've definitely been interested in these hops. Almost used them in my ipa, but chose Falconer's Flight instead. I'm gonna throw some of those in the boil next time though.

rampant does use mosaic, but its not used well in that beer imo. terrapins mosaic is good as is great lakes alchemy hour, but both are a little past their prime at this point since they were brewed a while back. i made an awesome pale ale with mosaic.

I 3rd the Sosus and also wish I had gotten more than 1 bottle. Probably my #1 beer of 2013.

Pretty sure Elysian's space dust uses them as well as citra. It was pretty damned good too.
