Most Arrogant Bar Taster Paddle Question

    Hello fellow BAs! I am looking for your help. I have my own ideas as to how to work this out, but I am aware that I am far from the expertise that views this site. The following beers will be on draft at my work during Stone's "Most Arrogant Bar" competition. I will not name the bar I work at, and I am aware that we do not have the luxury of obtaining kegs that are readily available in the southern cities of California. However, having a large selection of Stone beers is never a bad thing, no matter where you live. I need to prepare taster paddles (flights) (consisting of 4 beers each)...so a total of 3 paddles(flights). Some beers may be added later. Here are the beers I am working with thus far:

    Vertical Epic 12-12-12
    Cali-Belgique
    Arrogant Bastard
    Ruination
    17th Anniversary
    Mixtape Ale - Winking Lizard Blend Vol.5
    Suede Imperial Porter
    2012 Double Bastard
    2012 Old Guardian
    2012 Oak Smoked Old Guardian
    WOOTstout

    I realize we are one beer short of having three paddles(flights), but if you could help me with just preparing 2 paddles(flights), it would greatly be appreciated. I mainly want the customers to receive the most for what the palate allows as far as the order these beers go on the paddle(flight). Thank you so much for your help! Cheers!

    I'll take a stab.

    One flight: Arrogant Bastard, Double Bastard, Old Guardian, Oak Smoked Old Guardian
    2nd flight: Ruination, 17th Anniversary, Suede Imperial Porter, Woot stout

    Both flights are pretty high in ABV I will say though, but I think the side by sides work well together in the first flight, and have different flavor profiles, so the flight has transition to it. The 2nd goes from hoppy to malty, and also has some flavor range imho. Best of luck.

    Uggghhh...now I have to change things up. Just dropped the Cali Belgique. On the plus side, added Smoked Porter, Toasted Oak Double Bastard 2012, and IRS.

    Need to come up with three flights by this afternoon.
