Michelob in those ole cool bottles with the label wrapped around the cap..very classy and my Dad's fave.
Sam Adams BL-I remember thinking who pays 7 bucks for a six-pack??Then I had it....
Sam Adams Triple Bock-a tiny blue bottle with a syrupy thick yummy beer inside made me realize what beer could be.
And lastly,Budweiser....I am an American male so of course in ran in my bloodstream for a few decades before my craft transfusion. COOL Thread!

Craft: Jolly Pumpkin La Roja... My wife's favorite, and the first time I started to evaluate price based on more than abv.

Macro: Michelob Light... Was my golf beer of choice for many great Tuesday nights with my best friends.

    Four beers come to mind.

JW Dundee's Honey Brown reminds me of college. Was the go to non-macro beer while I was there.
Abita in general reminds me of good times watching my favorite sports team.
Schaefer lager reminds me of my first job while in college and the summers of relaxing with my coworkers.
Mammoth Floating Rock Hefe reminds me of an amazing hiking trip in Yosemite.

I'll always remember this one from a road trip up to Montreal from school in VT. We stopped at the first gas station after crossing the border and knowing nothing about beer, grabbed the highest alcohol, biggest bottle we could find. My buddy and I drank them in the backseat while our other friends drove us into the city. When we got to the hotel I had to pee like a racehorse and wasn't sure if I would have to speak in French. Needless to say I required a nap before continuing the festivities. Good times.

    3 come to mind.

KBS was my first truly "WOW" beer. Really opened my eyes.
DF 60 Minute was the 1st IPA that really made me go, "I get it. This is why people love IPAs so much."
Parabola was the beer I drank at my wedding reception and was a gift from the caterer.

Snpa first hoppy beer I loved. Drank a metric fuckton during college.
Pseudosue first beer that blew my mind.

Funny enough, Yuengling. I'm a Florida boy, so we got to savor the go-to beer. I remember getting phone calls from friends throughout the years, complaining that they can't get any in their State [X]. The day before I drove to CO from FL, I made sure to pack 2 cases! Also makes for a nice gesture when I meet East Coast folks.

Yard's Brawler was my gateway beer...

...but Carton BDG is a beer I am forever connected too. It REALLY got me into the craft scene. Not only that, but it has been a growler constant for years whenever I want to take a beer to a restaurant BYO. No other beer has ever molded itself so easily to the meal I was eating. I've taken it to hispanic places, hibachi, and BBQ's and was amazing at each one. Funny thing is, I never drink it on tap or at Carton anymore. I need to eat with it.

Miller High Life in the long neck bottle - Tuesday night bowling league with my Dad.

Coors Banquet Beer - because back in the day you were extra cool for getting it smuggled into town.

Samuel Smith's Tadcaster Porter - the first "weird" beer I tried.

Allagash Odyssey - the first "high end" beer my wife made the yummy-happy sounds about and made her forget about Blue Moon. A beer we enjoy together and often on our vacation trips to Maine in a nice restaurant.

Coors Light, because it was my first beer. Red Stripe because of a cruise and a very nice young woman when I was 19. Yunegling because it was always our "you're on Spring Break in Florida or at the SEC tournament" college beer.

Heady Topper....I always loved craft beer but it wasn't until one snowy night in Stowe that I encountered HT. I heard so much about it and I had to try. Since then it's opened me up to IPA'S like never before. Now I'm constantly on the hunt for hard to get IPA's (S.O.S., Grimm, Julius, king julius and on and on)

Back in the early 60s , like most young men ,I began drinking under age. This was normal , expected and widely tolerated unless you made a nuisance of yourself.
We had two excellent local breweries serving very cheap beer. One was easy drinking and the other was bitter and astringent. But if you persevered you were rewarded with a deeply satisfying brew which you could (and generally did) drink all night.
Thankfully it still lives and is relatively easy to find. Though it's 30 times the price!
    Despite the immense variety of new beers now avilable , most of them very nice , I wouldn't place any of them above this ;

1975 - Weidemann's (Stole it from the basement & shared it with a friend and two semi-pro hockey players...I was 14)

1977 - First 'Dark Beer' ~ Stroh Bock

1978 - Discovered Little Kings Cream Ale

1983 - First Anchor Steam in California

The rest is nothing more than an upward spiral...

Also i would just like to say this is part of the reason i love beer so much. People can have an actual sentimental connection to it (which is possible with other objects too) but its such a nice thing to be able to look back at a beer and have so many stories about the times youve had.

Genesee Cream Ale, Saranac and Utica Club all remind me of when I was a kid. I have a clearer memory of piles of empty UC cans than actually drinking it. Sometimes we would return hundreds of cans after a cookout or clambake during the summer.
Saranac was the first pale ale I had and it was local. It introduced me to a lot of styles (schwarzbier) that I didn't understand as a 20 year old but came to enjoy as I got older.
