Not sure where you've been buying your Allagash but I've never seen any of their year-round offerings come anywhere close to $20. White is a $10 4-pack. Dubbel, Tripel, and Black are all <$10/750mL, which is right on par with Ommegang and Unibroue around here. Four is year-round as well and a little bit more but I don't remember it being more than $15 and I know Curieux is $15-$17 just about every where I've seen it. The only ones I can think of that sell for $20 are their two Brett beers, Interlude and Confluence, but I've never bought either of them for that very reason.

While I love the new 17th anniversary beer, Weyerbacher comes to mind. Especially since JUST NOW they decided to make their labels look like a 13 year old in a computer class did them.

    Allagash and Mikkeller as well.

Agreed, their flagship/everyday line up is not over priced at all. It's the BA Old Raspy, BA Old Stock, etc that are insanely over priced.

I should have clarified, thanks for calling me out...

Where are you and how much are they? They're not the cheapest on the market, but all of their beers are high quality and generally priced fairly. In San Diego, bombers of their pale ale, IPA, ESB, and brown are all $5 +/- $.25. 750s are $10 - $12, and again, there are cheaper options, but $11.50 for Speedway Stout isn't something I'm going to complain about, even if Old Rasputin and Stone IRS are cheaper.

Yeah, your price 'guess' on Rogue is off about $2 per.

I definitely paid $20 for Four and I'm pretty sure the tripel is more like $15 at my store. Weird, since they seem in line for pricing with most of their other stuff. I also paid $20 for Fluxus which I found disappointing.

Is a rip off the same as over priced?

Cascade makes amazing beer, but 25 bucks for Sang Noir is almost as bad as 29 for 50/50 Eclipse.... Don't mean to offend anyone btw.

Speedway is $16 in western MA as well as their other 750's, Great Divide's bombers are $9-$13 here as well, Stone's beers are cheaper in CT, and Ten Fidy is cheaper per ounce than Stone RIS here. It's different everywhere you go, so this "you think brewery x is overpriced?! but their beers are $y here!" is silly.

Stone. You pay more for their beers because the bottles are etched...such a waste

Maybe I just shop at the wrong places? I didn't mean to offend. Whenever I see Great Divide bombers, they are right around $15. I've never seen one for under $10.

It bums me out a bit because if they were more affordable, it would be my favorite brewery by far.

In my opinion Leelanau Brewing Company, Mikkeller and Brewdog are the first 3 that pop in my head as being overpriced as I cannot think of a beer by the 3 of them that I ever felt I got a fair deal on no matter how much I loved their beer. Not sure if I would call Rogue overpriced as they do have many offerings that I feel are a great deal such as their chocolate stout and dead guy ale but I agree their special release offerings are a bit too pricey and I tend to avoid purchasing them.

Yeah man BA Old Stock is good, but I also have a very hard time shelling out like $25 for a bottle of it, insanity!

Well they don't pay me to drink Miller Lite, so I'd have to go with that.

In seriousness though, I'd say DuClaw.

Woah dude, sorry to hear that. Almost all year-round 22oz. are $8, seasonals $10 (like Chocolate Yeti) and special releases $22-$26 (barrel-aged) in Denver. Could be because we're local, but your store's markup is high!

Instead of calling out one brewery for being overpriced....

The most overpriced breweries are all the new ones that are constantly opening up, that only sell their beer in $10+ bombers.

I agree with you. Although, have you tried Redstone in Stoneham? they keep the Troegs decently priced.
