I saw a DFH 12oz bottle for like 7.49 the other day so its not just the big ones that are overpriced.

How? 10 bucks for 6 packs. 5-7 for most bombers. They are and have always been one of the best values in beer. Some of the colab stuff is pricey and their Belgian stuff imo wasn't high quality, but to call them across the board over priced seems crazy to me.

Dreadnaguht is generally 10. Moloko 9. BrewDoo 9.50. Their lagers (still over priced) run 8-9. The first 3 beers listed there was worth every dime. Behemoth is imo over priced for the quality but it's a big beer.

Dogfish Head. $15 for most large format beers around Dallas. It's good but come on... I still pay it sometimes however so my wallet says it's not overpriced.

Wow that's insane mark up on the 6 packs. Last time I bought a case of zombie dust, which was in Kentucky I paid low 40's after tax..

My good sir, I must call bullshit. I'm in Cincinnati and they are just as stupidly priced here as they are in Kentucky. Boris is the only beer that the quality matches the price imo and it's still a 10 dollar bomber which is pretty freaking expensive. Their IPA's are comically priced and unless I missed it, not even bottle dated.

If I said what the average 6 pack costs here, everybody would turn to homebrewing. Imported Big Eye is $19 a 6 pack, while domestic craft sits at the $14-17 range for a 4 pack. Beer gets taxed to death here. Unlike home

I love Knee Deep, but 10.99 for Simtra and $6 for Citra XPA is outrageous. Both are delicious, but even with the gas it takes me to get to Alpine Pure, Bad Boy, and Hoppy B-Day are all significantly cheaper for growlers.

Hoptologist and Belgo Hoptologist were like throwing money away though.

Domestic: Rogue (outside of their stouts, the quality is poor and they don't bottle date their beers so often what was once a pretty good IPA is just a mess). Also they get the nod here for being just absurd years ago and had so much crap on the shelves that was covered in dust.
Dogfish head: The more I drink the less and less I find what they make quality. The blend what look like on the surface as decent priced beers 60, India Brown, 90 with 750 ml messes. Again quality does not justify the cost.
Hoppin Frog: These guys actually make better beer than the first two. The problem is it is all put into bombers and the prices do not even come close to the quality on the vast majority. Boris being the one beer they make that I could pull the trigger on (and maybe the barrel aged version due to my obsession with barrel aged beer and it being around while others are not).

Contract Brew weirdness: I really like a few Mikkelar beers, but yeah stupidly over priced. Evil Twin just makes better beer and well some of it is worth the money (Even More Jesus I had for like 15 bucks in a bomber at a bar). They are also doing more 4 packs and bringing prices down. So I'm leaving them off the list.

Isn't this the chain that Surly called out a couple years back for gouging people hardcore on Darkness?

When there's plenty of great beer being made and sold at a reasonable price (the poster child is New Glarus), why in the hell would I spend exponentially more on beers that aren't exponentially better? For me, $40 for one bottle absolutely is out of the question when I could get a case of -- let's say -- NG Wild Sour Ale for just a few dollars more.

The Bruery over priced? They're expensive, yeah, but they are worth every penny.
Quality! Try their beers! Tart of Darkness, Bois, Saison Rue. They are all up there with my favorite beers of all time.

With all these no to stone posts, what are people paying for their stuff? Last time I saw a 4 pack of Ruination I think it was $14-15. PA sucks with pricing, but I can still get a case of Two Hearted for less than 12 Ruination. They're not a terrible offender, but I think some of their beers are too high, at least here.

To answer the original question, Maine, Rogue, and Hoppin Frog always seem to be way too highly priced for me to buy. DFH sometimes. Their 750 IPAs at like $14 are insane to me. FFF bombers for the most part. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

stone is dirt cheap out here, their "rare" specialty beer is like 6 or 7 bucks for bombers, bruery is expensive but not over priced, granted I drop 100s of dollars on them a few times a month, I love the beer. Id say Cascade and Rogue , I Dig beers from each of them but Over priced.
