The first one that comes to my mind is Cascade. One of the bars here in Montreal will be carrying it soon, and I won't be surprised to see it at 60$CDN/bottle. Pass.

Even in Oregon, Cascade beers are pretty expensive. It's kinda sad when I see a BA or sour beer for 25+ and think to myself, "Eh, that's not too bad."

But this thread is asking people's opinions to have a discussion about specific beers. If your answer is "none of them, don't buy it if you can't afford it" then we might as well not share our opinions.

Which was his opinion about lots of specific beers. Seems a perfectly ligitimate opinion to be expressed in a thread sharing opinions.

So I'd say if you don't like that opinion, i.e. that no beer is overpriced if it sells, then just move on with what you want to discuss.

$15-16 for Sculpin is batshit. It's a great IPA, but plenty of other great IPAs out there for $5-7 less a sixer.

Hoppin' Frog bombers. They just sit and collect dust here. I've never had them, and I'm not willing to at that price point.

100% agree. I'd like to meet someone who buys this beer at this price on a regular basis. So many good IPAs on the shelf in Ohio at 9.99-12.99 a sixer that are just as good if not better.

If you can find fresh Gangster Frog IPA, do it. It's worth trying at least once. I think it's about $8.

Cool. I'll see if Binny's has it when I stop by tomorrow. I assume they date their bottles?

I remember paying $5 at RR. Either way, it's not that unusual of a price even at $7-8 and it is an excellent beer. It would be nice if it were a full bomber instead of the 500 ml or whatever it is.

Of course they don't ;-). I believe they date the cases, however. Luckily, I just ask my beer store guy when the shipment got in.

Welp, there that goes. I'm guessing the Binny's beer guy will respond "A long time ago" when asked when the shipment arrived.

It really is. I never chased this beer, but got the pleasure of trying it quite a few times. I prefer Blind Pig out of the bottle vs. Pliny. I really was done with that beer and would even pass on pours to let friends have more. However, my friend took a trip to CA and brought back two Growlers of Pliny...2 day old Pliny out of a growler made me believe again.
