Most overrated beer

    Considering the most overrated (not the worst) beer, I would vote for Guinnes Draught. They sell it promising it to be a significant twist from all other conventional options and is NOT!!!

    I agree on Heineken. I traveled to Niger a couple of times in the 1980's, and visitors were advised to only drink sealed beverages and the choices were Coke, bottled water, or beer. They had a local beer called Biere Niger, and Heineken. Locals were proud to serve visitors Heineken, but I'd rather drink Biere Niger - and that wasn't that good either - but better than Heineken.

    I wouldn't consider the domestic macros as highly overrated. They are what they are, mega brewery swill. Heineken, OTOH has garned some sort of reputation as being a step up from the domestics. IMO, it is a step down. Bud may be pisswater, but, it's not skunky pisswater.

    Corona gets my vote for most overrated, because the majority of people consuming them have never even been willing to try Sol or a couple other Mexican beers that are at the same or cheaper pricepoint, same macro style yet IMO taste slightly better than Corona. Yet Corona sells massive volume over their competitors that are equal/better price and taste. At least the BMC competition is much closer in price and taste and volume sales.

    Sorry, but celebration. I taste no malt backbone in this and it seems so one dimensional... I have never looked forward to and searched for a release to be dissatisfied as much as this

    By far Corona is the worst mass produced beer. I hate it with utter reverence!

    Corona and Heineken because they are priced higher than the standard AAL's and arent worth it. Heineken doesnt use adjuncts at least and Corona tastes like a AAL.

    My votes are for Vanilla Bean Dark Lord and Zombie Dust. The Dark Lord's potential complexity is squashed by the sickening amount of sweetness, and Zombie Dust, while certainly good, doesn't have an amazing hop profile. I'd take Alpha King and Backmasking over either of these two any day of the week.

    I've always thought Heinekin (sp?) tastes skunky and weird.
    Then I tried their version of the "black lager" and that is one of the worst I have had. I'm not sure if anyone thinks that it's good, but if they do, it's overrated. Given the price and marketing position.
