    Sam Adams and Rogue.
Sam makes good, middle of the road, beer but they have a hard time hitting the style. Remember Cranberry Lambic? It was neither. And they promote like a macro. Wish they would spend some of that ad money on developing better recipes instead.
Rogue is either great or shite and you never know until you drink it. It's a coin toss.

Mikkeller. I spent a ton of money on a 12oz beer that was just bad (Vanilla Shake?). Beer Geek breakfast is GREAT but the rest I will have to use caution about the others. I have seen big price gouging on the 12oz bottles as well.
Ballast Point- while the beers are good to great, they cost quite a bit more than other craft 6-packs. Not sure if they are worth the extra money.
Russian River- Pliney the Elder is really good, but maybe not quite deserving of it's godlike status.
Magic Hat- Everything I've had from them has been mediocre.
Samuel Smith- not sure if anyone thinks these are good, but I've had a couple different ones and they were bad.
Yuengling- I find this to be remarkably bland for "craft" beer. I don't think just being old is a virtue of what I am drinking today.

From the looks of this thread all Breweries are Overrated, and thus, we must all turn back to the king of all beers, Budweiser.

Well said. At first it's like a car crash you can't stop looking, then you realize you are 8 pages deep in a trollfest and you don't return and post a beer on wbaydn for at least a week

There are no actual overrated breweries. They are only overrated in your mind.

Because RR makes one goddamn beer. Vinny and RR have their rightful world-class status for many reasons, not PLINY alone.

Saying their beers are good to great but priced high doesn't make them overrated. One, overpriced does not equal overrated, and two, overpriced is a somewhat subjective term. I don't find them overpriced at all for the quality of beer that I am getting. They could sell Victory at Sea and Sculpin plus its variants in only bombers at a much higher cost per ounce like everyone else does for beers of that quality. I for one love the fact that Ballast Point sells $15 six packs instead of exclusively bombers that cost $7-9 like some other breweries. If you don't think that a $15 six pack Victory at Sea is an awesome deal then there is something wrong with you. You would be hard pressed to find another beer of similar style and caliber as VaS that wasn't only sold in bombers for $8-10 a piece. I actually wish that more breweries would sell $15 six packs as opposed to bombers only of all or just some of their beers. The bottom line is that if you think about it Ballast Point isn't really overpriced, and even if you think that they are that doesn't make them overrated. High ratings for shitty beer makes a brewery overrated.

Since taste subjective this thread is kind of silly; one man's manna from Heaven is another man's chalice full of ass.

Is this the thread where I tell everyone their favorite brewery is overrated? Or is this where I name a brewery I don't personally enjoy?

Some of you are so edgy; you don't like a top-rated brewery? You are a special flower who must know something I don't. I feel so inadequate for enjoying their beer now. I mean, you must be right, and the other 99.99999% must be wrong.

Is there a overrated brewery??? I rarely hear of a brewery as in a whole that is overrated, Generally if every likes them they're probably good.. I can answer for me personally is there a brewery everyone loves but I more often then not think is okay. Yea.

    It's founders.

Love CBS, KBS is great but I don't even bother trading for it. Love old curmudgeon and sweet repute....But in a whole I don't really feel i'm missing out by not trading for their beers and most I can order if I really want.

You can still get real Alpine beer. They still brew at Alpine. You might have gotten GF Nelson, but the real one still exits. You'll know by just looking at it where it was brewed. Just sayin.
