I have yet to try Devil Dancer, but with how much I like Founders' hoppy beers, I am hoping that I am on the "like" side.

My vote is Brooklyn Concoction! I loved it. Everyone else hated it.

Pumpkin Ales are certainly a polarizing style, I am not even going to get into beers of this style.

Bell's Cherry Stout is possibly one of the most polarizing I have come across. Some do not expect the tart cherry flavor, some do not understand it. Many say it is a god awful beer that should be taken out of the line up. Truth be told, and I only tell the truth, it is a fantastic beer that ages incredibly well.

sweet beers in general tend to be at or near the top of any polarizing beer list; just to piggyback on a few already mentioned i think creme brulee, pumking, rumpkin, and DFH 120 are among leading candidates. (FWIW i like pumpking but find the other 3 to fall into the dreaded cloyingly sweet realm)

If you have Dogfish 90 within a week or two of bottling it has a really nice dry-hop aroma as it warms up. Otherwise it's sweet and boozy. Fresh 120 is just sweet and boozy.

Wait do I have to like all of them? How about everything but Creme Brulee? diabeeetes diabeeetes diabeeetes (where did that come from?)

I just had a DFH 120 yesterday that was from the June release and it was sweet, boozy, hoppy, bitter, and otherwise a lot more complicated than I was expecting based on most of the comments I read.

When I saw this thread this is the first beer that came to mind. Although I just split a bottle on Sunday and thought it was simply okay. Which isn't really furthering the polarizing point but this is a great beer.

It has been mentioned once before, but I am not sure a more polarizing beer has come up in our extended tasting group over the past couple of years.

Some folks seem to greatly enjoy it, and other folks (like myself) think it is the embodiment of everything wrong with many American sours these days.

Came in here to post this. As a fan of sours, mother funker is offensive. Someone on here even tried to tell me I wasn't a true sour fan because I didn't like it. I can usually find the beauty in most beers, but this was nothing but an expensive drain pour for me

I would say ALL lambics & gueuzes. Pick one beer of this style---doesn't matter what. Give it to two people willing to try. One will love it while the other one hates it. The # of hates usually outnumbers the # of loves by a 3-to-1 margin too.

I can name four instances where four gals I know or indirectly abhorred all beers. Upon their first taste of Duchesse though, it was *love at first taste*. Is it a gender thing? I don't know, but it seems so to me. All the guys I know who hate beer hates all beers period.
