This as well. Cultivator by Troegs is a good slugger.

    Cheers!

Philadelphia is closer to you than the West Coast.

Yards Brawler on cask is being served today at two places in Philly: http://www.phillytapfinder.com/beer/yards-brawler-cask/

    Cheers!

For anybody who followed my posts on New Beer Sunday - Summer of Pilsners my answer will be no surprise. For me the quaffable beer style is a nice crisp Pilsner.

I am now discussing Pilsners in the New Beer Sunday thread as Winter of Pilsners. I have a new interesting Pilsner that I will be discussing tomorrow.

    Cheers!

PBR. Preferably at a dive bar with a pool table so I don't have to pay for them.

Maybe next time when you are up visiting you may have the opportunity to try it.

    Cheers!

I've had the Mild from Bull City as I mentioned. Had a decent hop bite , tons of flavor, very smooth. Gotta love the 3.8 Abv. Bull City is about an hour away, so it's a once in a blue moon place.

Cask ales, cream ales, nitrogen beers. Not saying they're my favorite, but they sure can go down quick as a....nevermind.

Anyone else hate the word "quaffable?" Something about it makes me feel disgusted.

Since, as @marquis points out, a quaffable beer is a beer that is easy to drink in large quantities, I'm going with either the low ABV Pale Ale (e.g., Yard's Philadelphia Pale Ale) or the Dark Mild (e.g., the Yard's Brawler).

However, if I could actually find it in the US I'd include the Pale Mild (e.g., Cooper's Pale Mild) and might even prefer it because of its lower ABV.

Don't hate it but don't usually use it either, since "easy to drink in large amounts," while longer, doesn't make me feel like I'm using fancy words that confuse people. :-)

I love a cask conditioned pint. I have experienced the same beer on regular tap and from a cask. You'd swear they were different beers. They kind of are.

Yes, the difference in carbonation/mouthfeel does indeed create a notably different drinking experience.

    Cheers!

Actually, the low carbonation of cask beer does make it more comfortable to drink in quantity.

    Cask small beer...

... although I've never had one. I've had bottled small beer and imported cask bitter. If I imagine what it would be like to have cask small beer I couldn't imagine anything more easily drinkable.
