Most Satisfying Beer

An ice cold HT, sitting on the beach.

 

A nice stout on a cold winter's day (yeah I'm lookin' at YOU, winter of '12)! A Chimay blue on Christmas Day '09. But a cold Budweiser yesterday after trimmin' trees w/ a pole saw all day long underneath the hot Oklahoma sun. Oooooo yeah.

 

Popping a Yella Pils right after my first hockey game (and win) with my new team was a glorious occasion. Really hit the spot.

Or cracking a Flying Fish FU Sandy this past May after all the recovery in NJ over the past year.

 

I had a brown ale that my neighbor and I brewed that was plauged with folly, we missed our og and fg, my starter was just starting to krausen after no activity for two days when I had to pitch it, just didn't come together well. Sure enough when I popped the first bottle I thought this beer was garbage. I gave most of it away, and a lot of people kept telling me how good it was. So after sitting on bottles for a month and a half I cracked one with my wife's cousin after a long day of financial planning. It is hands down the best beerr I have brewed thus far. I was really expecting to sip it for a bit and then pour it in favor of some of the crooked stave I had on deck. We wound up just craking another brown.

 

The first sip of my liter mug of Hefeweizen at the '11 Spring Beer Fest in Munich . Bicycle Wheel-sized pretzels, whole-roasted chickens and all the bar wench cleavage you could ask for.

 

Lately Great South Bay Blood Orange Pale Ale has been hitting me like a flower.

 

My sister and Brother-in-law own investment property on Crystal Beach in Destin. It's about a 3 minute walk to the beach from their place. I was there in July. I enjoyed quite a few Lagunitas Maximus at sunrise, myself.

 

Columbus IPA. Something about the hop profile makes it so satisfying and so drinkable.
