Yep. Patrons sit beside the fermentation tanks. Their taps are in front of a storage container that has been converted into a cooler.
Actually stopped by while in Duluth on Friday....decent beers for sure...Not real busy while we were there...
I should have titled that differently. But it still works in a general sense. I should have said "under the radar" not "Underrated"...I meant places that don't get a lot of attention, but that is not how I titled it so it's pretty open ended...
Nice. I showed up at noon on a Saturday and was the 2nd patron of the day. My pics are from then. I hope they get some deserved attention for their tasty brews. They have a slightly different taste overall than their neighboring breweries being, BP, Ursa, the cidery, Clyde. The West End rocks there.
Yeah that area is really blossoming. We were at Ursa around noon on Friday when it was pouring rain outside and it was packed...granted they do well with their food too but that place seems to really be poplar..
Would like to second BeerClub in Mora. Went up to the family cabin and had the Doppelbock, the Oktoberfest and a Tripel. All three were excellent.
Next time I'm in Sioux Falls I'll visit the Lupulin taproom there. Their beers are well distributed in the metro/twin cities and in S. Dak. They're rated pretty high.
Lupulin closed that satellite location in October of last year. I don't remember if there was a dedicated thread or something, but it popped up in last year's Minnesota opening/closing thread: https://www.beeradvocate.com/commun...-and-closings-2024.675642/page-8#post-8097264
Oh crap that's right. Well, Big Lake is roughly a 1 hr jaunt from my door. I go up to Clearwater to get on 10. Will have to pay 'em a visit.
I have to agree with this completely. I have been pretty damn impressed with everything I've had there and I highly recommend it.
Apparently the brewer there spent some time in Germany learning....they are doing well...love the low key Florida back swamp feel there at the tap room...
I’m gonna throw my local place in the underrated category. Sunken Ship in Princeton. Their Pub Ale is the best I’ve had in MN since Sherlock’s Home. The different lagers they’ve brewed outside of the normal American lager have been awesome. Their west coast IPA and the sours are great. The stouts are old school, thin and roasty, but very well made. I feel very lucky that this place is 3 miles from home and the owners and family are great people.
