This beer was released today. Won GOLD at the U S Open championship recently. Released at 1 PM today.

Silent Night over DB Huna? LOL. Apparently the judges aren't able to discern the delicious taste of rarity.

Is this different from the version released in previous years? I noticed you added it as a separate beer from the previous version which is normally not done unless there is a change in the recipe.

Yes I made a mistake and went ahead and sent note to the administrators to delete this. Thanks.

Released at the brewery only, or will it see distribution?

Not sure but I think will see some distribution.

It sees distribution. It should be fairly easy to find wherever they distribute, at least in my experience finding it in NC.

Still some previous vintages hanging around in my area. Are these things dated, or is there some way to tell what vintage the bottles are?

It's dated on the label. I get one every year. Good beer, but not worthy of the 20 buck price tag it runs. They sit around in Atlanta because of that.

Actually was $16 at the brewery and I had a vertical yesterday of 2010 thru 2014 and I think I liked the 2014 the best. Same recipe as 2011 thru 2014 but we all know how different batches taste different. I thought it had a little thicker mouth feel and the bourbon taste was not as hot as sometimes they are when they first come out. I liked it enough to buy a case. Hope to give some as presents and trade some and drink some myself.

It saw distribution to ATL last year. $20 as I recall.

More or less what @FATC1TY just said. I thought it was fine, but I did think that I shouldn't have sat on it for six months. There were practically no coffee notes in my bottle.

It always sits around because of the price tag.

Interesting.. For what it's worth, I will buy a bottle, I think last year, I bought two. One to drink now, and one for later.

The last 2 years, I've opened it during Christmas Eve. It's pretty good then, I have no complaints. Can't really recall how the coffee was though.

I look forward to this beer every year. The price may be a little high for what the beer is, but I think it's well made and I always buy a couple too. It also depends where you purchase it because some stores will mark it up.

I also crack a Silent Night every Christmas Eve and I really enjoy this beer. I've heard good things about this year's batch. Starting cellaring some bottles in the last few years so I will be having a three year vert of this at the holiday share with my buddies. Looking forward to that as well.
