So I'm going to go down there one of these weekends to check out the tasting room and do a tour. I assume the tour includes free samples. Couldn't find any info really about their tap room other than that they carry outside brews on tap? Anyway, can I buy beer to go there.. growlers probably, but 6 packs, etc?

I don't know about the tour but you can buy beer to go at the bar. I was there about a month ago and I recall that they carried their large bottle series including one that was only available at the brewpub. If you are in Kinston, you should also stop at the Chef and the Farmer a couple of blocks away as they have a small but nice selection of bottles to go in the bottle shop that is connected to the restaurant. If you like creative, chef-driven restaurants, Chef and the Farmer is one of the best in the eastern part of the state, if not all of NC.

I was there last weekend. They had 6-packs to-go of everything in their year-round line-up. For the large bottle series, they had the tripel and the first in their Windowpane series, a double blackberry wit aged in pinot noir barrels: http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/21193/83647. They had about 20 bottles of that when I got there, but I bought one and so did at least 4 other people while I was there. I also saw a Silent Night hiding in the cooler, but I think it was on hold. Due to antiquated alcohol laws, the large bottles can't be consumed on the premises.

All the regulars were on-tap, as well as a cask and nitro version of Sisters of the Moon and a cream ale. The one outside brew on tap was New Belgium's Red Hoptober.

Not sure about the tour including free samples (since we were in a hurry and didn't do one). They do tasters of everything for $1.50 each.

Just to clarify, the bottle shop Brentk56 refers to is right across the street from the brewery, rather than a few blocks away. Otherwise, the info in this thread is spot on

Their bottles are sold pretty readily across the state. I see everything from them at all the bottle shops. Tripel Overhead (BBA Tripel) is still at Sams if you wanna make that trip.

I believe that the next windowpane is coming soon, and is going to see limited distro. If I recall correctly blackberry was supposed to, but something happened to the batch limiting the bottle run. Fantastic beer!

We were told at the brewery that the next windowpane is going to incorporate peaches and there would be a release party sometime in the next couple of months.
