I agree with this. I've had silent night before but didn't think it was great and worth the price point. Perhaps this years was better. If anybody wants to break one open and share, let me know. I'll share some EH with you.

I think I remember paying $18-$20 per bottle but also remember that these are 750ml. I really liked 2011 and am looking forward to trying this years batch.

Last year some shops sold out in a day or so and just didn't get anymore, while others like Sam's had their supply replenished at different points and I do remember it sitting more towards the end.

 

The bottle size is worth noting and taking into consideration when you are tossing around EH and BABorris.

 

FWIW, an $18.00 750 ~ $15.50 22oz, so that's more than EH but less than BA Boris.

 

Also, markup will vary by shop but the price at the taproom was $16 this year.

 

Seconded. Will be coming to Georgia, although we'll be looking at around $20-$21/bottle.

Believe me, I'd love to try it; budget + ORF/Founders Imperial Stout/Wake n Bake are the limiting factors.

 

I understand that as well, when you factor Christmas for the family, GBS, EH, ORF, Slient Night, Cold Mountain...it's just almost too much all at once. You wouldn't happen to have an extra card I could borrow?

 

And my sister just got engaged (engagement party) and my wife's best friend's daughter's 1st birthday is in 2 weeks. Ahhhhh!!!!!

 

I say we declare this a no spending except on beer month, we can make up the presents in like...February, when there are no huge release parties....I hope.

2010, 2011, 2012 vertical was wonderful on Saturday afternoon at the brewery. 2012 is the best yet fresh, IMO. 2010 has mellowed nicely--almost all chocolate at this point. 2011 is still packing quite a bit of heat.
