I was debating this with a friend the other day, and honestly thought the whole discussion was quite fascinating. So I turn to you BA, what's your Mount Rushmore of cheap beer? (Rank them if you like 1-4 but it's not required). My List is as follows in no particular order:
    • Yuengling
    • Rolling Rock
    • Newcastle
    • Budweiser (bud heavy ofc not light)
Just narrowly missing out is PBR. I'm sure it's not hard to see my geographical bias in this list haha.

Narragansett makes some great cheap summer beers, just can never get them in my area unfortunately.

This depends upon what the highest price point one considers cheap. Is $7.99 a 6 pack cheap?

I'd personally preface it as more a national cheap brand or a regional cheap brand. Mostly stuff that you can get in 30's or that you drank in college. But feel free to take it any direction you want, only makes the discussion better.

    Bittburger!

I also like Lord Chesterfield and Genny Bock. In fact where is it? The Genny Bock I mean. You know what happened? One year they put it out in December and now it's . . . "like January."

Modelo Negro - $9 a six pack. Pretty good for $1.50 per beer.

Bud light lime Tall cans - $2.69 for 24oz. $1.35 per beer. For some reason I like it out of the can but not really in the glass.

Newcastle - still a great beer.

    Hamm's (new addition in 2017)
    Miller High Life
    Narrangansett Lager
Coors Banquet (at risk of being dropped...tasted a little "off" the last one I had).

I don't know, doesn't seem right to have imports like Corona and Newcastle Brown Ale on the Mt. Rushmore of Cheap Beer:open_mouth: (maybe they can go in the Seven Wonders of the Cheap Beer World?).

This new Hammsmania has me suspicious. The brand has bounced around for decades of decreasing sales (Heublein > consortium of Hamm's distributors - Olympia > Pabst > Miller) and a few years ago Miller was considering dropping it altogether (at least, that was the rumor).

As some other MC economy/popular-priced brands (Keystone, Milwaukee's Best) have slipped, they've openly stated they were going to be putting more promotional effort in Hamm's and increasing its distribution footprint and, coincidentally --- VOILA! ----suddenly the beer geekery becomes enthralled at this long-forgotten brand...

JK, have you tried the beer?

As the old(er) saying goes: "The proof of the pudding is in the eating."

Or the more 'modernized' version of: The proof in in the pudding.

    Cheers!

Cheap beer? No thanks. Affordable good tasting brews? Yes. Jacks abby 6 pack tall boys for $ 10 or Sierra Nevada 12 packs for $14 or so.

Two-Hearted usually runs $9.99 so not exactly cheap. Unless I guess if you buy from Costco to where it averages out to $7.99 a 6pk but at $34 a case it's still not as cheap as the SN variety pack for $24.99
