Anyone live in Mountlake Terrace, Washington or know any BA's there?

I received an anonymous box of beer from a person from there. I would love to thank this person, and let him know how the beers fared. I am guesing he is a BA, but so far no one I have asked knows who it is, or gave out my address to anyone from Wa.

Don't want to post any more info, but if you PM me I would love the opportunity to get your help in tracking down this person. Thanks!

I asked this very question in another thread (we're notorious for going OT here in this forum), and got negative replies. How's your gerbil doing BTW?

I know one guy who recently moved there from Seattle, but if it's him he'll say something.

Jake Locker is from Ferndale, the next town up from me. Comes into some of the breweries in town sometimes. Spent about 10 minutes talking to him about his Black Labs once, at a charity golf tourny where I was pouring beer.

I don't know how cool it is to post his actual name, which I know would make this easier for sure.

I know I can also just box bomb him back, and will, but then I still won't know who he is or how he knows me or why he sent etc.

I'm a MLT BA, but I did not send a box. Not aware of anyone I know that did. Would be interested in meeting this MLT BA as well

It's too bad Jake Locker is clearly not made to survive in the NFL, as he seems like a really classy guy. A local sports radio guy described him as someone you wouldn't want as your NFL team's QB, but would definitely want as your daughter's husband.

He's a nice guy. Him and another local guy who plays in the NFL hold an annual football camp, and keep a fair number of the slots open for kids that wouldn't be able to attend otherwise. Does a local TV commercial for a furniture store that has been friends of his family for decades. Big duck hunter, thus our discussion of dogs. I think he'll have a nice little career as a back-up, which is good work if you can get it.

It wouldn't be a PNW thread if someone didn't go a little off-topic. Who does Marshawn Lynch know at Beacon Plumbing?

Considering his usual attitude toward the media, I'm guessing it's someone who has incriminating photos of him, or perhaps someone he's deeply in debt to.

Getting back on topic, I think it's @beertunes. He just wanted to throw @cavedave off the scent so he mailed it from MT.

Getting back off topic, considering his usual attitude toward the media, it's kind of surprising he would want to have an autobiographical movie made about himself.

Nope. When I porch bomb Dave, I let him know. The suspense kills him.

I kinda call BS on Lynch being as shy and retiring as he at times seems to want people to think he is. For a guy whose thing seems to be to avoid the media he sure does call a lot of attention to himself. Putting velvet ropes around his car when he's parked on the street isn't exactly going the Garbo route, just to pick one of his idiosyncracies.

Oh I agree, at this point the whole media thing is a bit of a gimmick. I just find that Beacon Plumbing endorsement extremely random, seems like kind of an anomaly. Now a Skittles ad I could see, although I suspect they've kept him at arm's length.

Ever since I first heard it on the radio during a Seahawks game several years ago (the TV ad doesn't run here as far as I know), I found it odd, but, yeah, he probably doesn't get a whole lot of endorsements - which actually circles back around to the whole media-at-arms-length thing. The richest athletes (Jordan, Manning, etc) have always been fairly astute about using the media to their advantage.

If this Mountlake terrace BA'er wants to send more beer, I'd be happy to come by and pick it up. Or we can share some homebrew or bombers ... I'm in the canyon park bothell area. Holla!
