I have well over 100 growlers from breweries I have personally visited. I shall be moving soon. I am trying to find boxes that'll hold a number of empty growlers semi-safely. I have searched a large number of sites. Forget Google and Bing -- I've many hundreds of suggestions and ways to ship full growler(s). I've searched the sites of eight or ten box/shipping companies. I can buy blank growlers, nothing about boxes. I know I've seen boxes that hold six, but cannot seem to find them for sale anywhere. Since I have so many growlers, I'd like to find larger boxes that hold more than six. Can anyone actually help with this move (not the physical part, but links or specific sites for shipping/packing boxes)? Many thanks to all who read this, whether you can assist or not. Have a Fine Day!
Possibly check with some local liquor stores? If they have boxes left from the jug wines, they might do the trick.
It's the wrong time of the year to score here, but maybe a cider mill that has its own retail outlet would have empty boxes to fit growlers. Other users of growler-sized jugs would also be a potential source, i.e. businesses that distill or use vinegar or other liquids such as the jug wines mentioned above. Or a local brewery that sells growlers.
Might be time to say good-bye to the growlers. Seems like a huge hassle to move them to your next location.
Ask breweries that sell growlers for some boxes. I didn't need nearly as many, but that's how I got a few.
As other have said, breweries that use growlers are a good source. They will likely be happy to give them to you too.
Most boxes I've seen hold 4 growlers. Maybe look for a box at U-Haul or whatever either with similar width and depth dimensions, but deeper, and use cardboard layers between, or just a big box, wrap them up and stuff them in like regular glasses.
