I'm moving back to California. Last time I lived there 6-7 years ago I wasn't into craft. So I'm looking for help on the good bars and bottle shops near Artesia, not neccessarily in Artesia. Artesia is near Bellflower and Cerritos if that helps. I'm coming from Indiana where I kinda felt spoiled with FFF, Founders and Bells all readily available so I'm sure California is gonna blow my mind.

Beachwood BBQ in both Seal Beach and Long Beach is not too far from Artesia and serves great food and world-class beer. You're also very close to the Bruery along the 91. Bootlegger's is in Fullerton.

I read that there's a brand new brewery right next to the Long Beach Airport called Timeless Pints which looks promising. I think the official grand opening is this weekend.

As far as bottleshops, there's Stearns and Whole Foods in Long Beach and Ramirez Liquor in Pico Rivera.

I'm fairly familiar with the Cerritos/Artesia neighborhood, but I can't think of any places closer than the ones I listed above.

Born and raised in Cerritos. My go to is usually Shipmates on South Street.

Not much in Artesia, but at least you'll be near good Indian food.

Beachwood isn't far, nor is Bottle Room in Whittier.

I'm pretty familiar with Seal Beach, one of my favorite surfing spots. I will definetly check out Beachwood BBQ. Not sure if my dad will allow me to shop at Whole Foods. He used to work for them and they kinda did him dirty and he works for Sprouts now lol. I will definetly be checking out all these places just needed a base point for starting to know where to look. Thank you!

Yea man I know lol. I lived/will be living right off Pioneer Blvd. I used to skate thru Little India on a daily basis and everyone stared at me like I didn't belong there lol. I'll definetly check out Shipmates and Bottle Room for sure. Thanks man!

Wow. Didn't realize it was so close. I always thought The Bruery was up north. I don't neccessarily always keep it local but I try. This is great news to me lol. I never really worried about where everything was in Cali so much cause I thought it would be irrelevant to me. This is awesome news. Thanks man!

When you go to the Bottle Room in Whittier, check out Liquor Mart on Whittier Blvd a few minutes away. It's a solid bottleshop. I think they might be about 50 cents to $1 more per bottle on most items than other places I visit, but they usually get the good stuff. I like them for what they offer.

No problem at all. I actually live in that exact area (La Palma/Buena Park) half the week. if you ever want to meet up at the Bruery I'm down.. always looking for new beer buddies. Send me a PM with your name/contact info.

    Thanks,
    Rich

Bootlegger's is probably the closest option. Their new place is pretty cool. That area of Fullerton is coming back around. Noble isn't too far out of the way either. And if you're looking to venture the other way a bit (and Beachwood is obviously a must), the South Bay is not that far at all. Smog City, Strand, Monkish are all well worth checking out.
