Hello fellow scientist/brewer/beer geek. If you are ever in Philly, specifically West Philly, we should try to meet up for a drink!

Soonami I still wanna get a bottle share going in Swarthmore sometime; possibly this fall?

BTW I have really been digging what Bob Barrar and crew have been doing at Iron Hill in Media this summer. Gary Nelson was awesome, there was a very nice Berliner Weisse, and a handful of other standouts.

    Yeah! Definitely!

Hey everyone, thanks for all the replies. This is all great information and glad to know the area is great for craft beer.

I will have to concur that the lack of breweries in NYC is disheartening and its good to know I'll be improving in this realm. Distribution in the city (trucks) and the cost makes it VERY hard to open a craft brewery.

I'm still in the negotiating process with Merck, but when I move my family, it would be great to grab some brews. Perhaps a bottle share.

I've got some great stuff CL and SH (rosso, castleton, uberliner, etc...) not to mention some interesting homebrews. Planning on kegging my berliner weisse and shipping it during the move. It was made with lacto, clean ale strain, and two Brett strains from Cantillon.
