Moving to Vancouver from SF

I'm not in BC, nor have I ever been there, but some great BAs have sent me some great beers.

I will echo the Persephone and Lighthouse recommendations with regard to IIPAs. I have a Twenty Pounder in my fridge that will get cracked either tonight or tomorrow. Everything I have had from Four Winds has been really good, and even though I have never had their IIPA, I can only assume it would be good too. If Yellow Dog makes a IIPA, I bet it would be worth a try as well.

 

Welcome to Vancouver! You've gotten plenty of info about the California breweries available here (although I didn't see Coronado mentioned, and they're available), so I won't add much there.

More importantly, I'd encourage you to enjoy some of the local stuff. BC overall has lots of great beer coming out of the Lower Mainland and Victoria.
