I had a coffee last night time stamp 1248 definitely off with a tart finish that reminded me of the last bottled Peruvian Morning. I had a time stamp 2043 tonight and it's delicious.

I've had a few bottles with "1912" on them and no issues. Every bottle I purchased in the Mpls area had "1912" it seems.

the general consensus on the 'gusher' thread was that 1900+ were good. unfortunately, most of mine are 1200s and 1300s.

Every BCBCS ive had is > 2000 while none have been infected at all , the coffee is very bitter which imparts on the BA IMO.

Are you saying that people are mistaking bitter coffee for infection issues?

No not at all the coffee that i am tasting (2015) compared to 2012,2013,2014 is much more like an espresso taste than a roasted taste, compared to the last 3 years vintages, im saying this years masked the BA signature that we all pay money for and wait in line for.

Interesting, I have a bag of the roasted beans and I find them really acidic and fruity when french pressed. A very light roast which I'm not used to. @mnbearsfan opened a bottle New Years Eve though that to me was just as good as previous years, but it was getting late in the evening. @Centinela opened a bottle at a share and I thought it was terrible compared to recent vintages.

Seems like there is a lot of bottle variation, just a crapshoot.

Interesting, the two I opened tonight were 1246 and 2045. The 2045 was the better of the two but still had somewhat of a tart finish.

Ive only had > 2000 Time stamp they (BCBCS) were very good just a bitter espresso taste not roasted which detracted from the GI BA .

prop, regal, rare and reg are said to be good. dont think there has been any official statement in regards to those, but thats what most are saying.

havent had any problems with the reg. cracked a regal last weekend and it was great.

Rare is actually 2014 so should be no issue there. Regulars I've opened have been great.

That assumes one knows where the problem came from. If it was at packaging then it's still a possibility I would think.

...unless some adjuncts are making some of them more susceptible to what's going on.
