MPLS March Madness

I love any chance to get violently angry while watching sports, so what better way than to bet some beer on it... Right?

Just checking in to see if any fellow Metro area BA'ers would like to do a NCAA Tourney Challenge. Entry Fee can be determined at a later point (Walezzzz only...joking.). I am looking to keep this local to help eliminate shipping costs, also a good excuse to meet some fellow BA'ers.

Rules can be further discussed if there is enough interest, but I'd use an online site to score all the brackets (espn, yahoo, cbs, which ever most prefer.)
I was thinking 1 bracket per entry fee ( Cap on entries per person will be decided based upon feedback)
Depending on how many people are interested, I was thinking 1,2,and 3rd would all get "rewarded"
I was thinking we could meet somewhere ( bar, house, street corner) the for the Final 4 or Championship Game to exchange/drink beer.

I wasn't thinking anything crazy for entrance. I was thinking around $20 worth beer with around $10 -15 being more exclusive beer. If we want to turn this into a 1 bottle entry I'm also ok with that

 

I created the group, I currently dont have a limit set for Entries, please keep it to 1 bracket for now. We can discuss this option further when we have more people.

Edit: Id like for the top 3 finishers to get beer. I'd like for the winners to pick in some sort of snake like fashion, i.e the 3rd place finisher doesn't get whatever others dont pick

I'd like to note you really dont have to be a college basketball fan to enter. I am an avid college basketball fan and watch a lot of it throughout the season.. However, the tourney is a whole different beast. Last year my girlfriend and I did a bracket challenge and she beat be quit handily (3 of my final 4 teams got bounced early, thanks a lot Wichita st)

 

Looks like we are stuck at 7 people. So we have a few options

1. Continue as planned, Each person put up a "more exclusive" bottle/s + shelf = $20 ish (First - 4 selections , 2nd-2 selections, 3rd - 1 selection)

2. Lower entrance, put in a "more exclusive" 12oz bottle (bcbs, variants, kbs, black note, bomb, etc) = $5-10 (First 5 selections, 2nd - 2 selections)

3. Lowest entrance - $10 of shelf beer (winner gets all) and we do a bottle share of beers we had planned to enter for the final four or championship game
