I brewed my first batch of beer (Mr. Beer St. Patrick's Irish Stout) in Feb. and finally tried it last night. It's not bad! It could use a little more flavor, but the carbonation is spot-on and there's a nice roasty aftertaste.

Much credit is due to those in this forum that helped me and preached patience over anything else. I did not follow the instructions (which has you rush through the process)and instead took a little more time with each step:

    1. Fermentation for 3 weeks before bottling.
    2. After bottling, leave at room temp for 3 weeks.
    3. Refrigerate for 1-2 weeks.

I hope this helps those that haven't had much success with the Mr. Beer kit. As for me, I plan on brewing one more batch with this kit before moving on to bigger and better things.
