Mr. K’s and Craft Beer Kings?

    Thanks again to all that let me know about Mr K’s. Be hitting them up for sure in about 2 weeks.

    However, what is the consensus on Craft Beer Kings? I am short on time this trip so wondering if a second stop a little further away is warranted or if my for sure stop at Mr K’s will do just fine.

    Just trying to try as many different beers as I can that I unfortunately normally can’t get.

    I think the general consensus here would be to avoid CBK. I've never been but there's a long, dramatic thread on here about how lame they are

    CBK is known for gray-market selling beers and epic price gouging

    Wouldn't go out of my way for CBK but I think it's a well stock shop and worth a visit if not too far. They might have some grey market stuff at inflated prices but plenty of stores do.

    You should check out their website. If they have stuff on there that you're interested in you can order it in advance and pick it up I believe.

    Yea, I have noticed that at a couple of stores in Cali. Doesn’t happen where I’m at....at least not that I have ever seen....or at least not sitting out on shelves.

    Great store to find some hard to get beers but they do drive prices up on the limited releases.

    Great brewery. Not planning on driving out to Tucson in the weeks before I head out. Work has me tied down pretty good right now.

    However, if any can releases make it down my way I will hit you up, no problem at all.

    only a few miles from K's is Hacienda Beverage. well stocked, and they have a lot of vintage goodies.

    Give Mr. K's all your business and don't bother driving out to CBK. In fact, spend that gas money at Mr. K's and buy more great beer.

    Maybe even give them a follow on instagram assuming you use instagram and don't follow them yet. They received some revision cans today.

    Will do. I follow them on Facebook for sure as I’m not on Instagram very much. Sounds like a good reason to start getting on more though.

    You guys are just unbelievable and your loyalty is such an important part of our business I honestly dont think we would be here without you guys. I know almost everyone on this forum in person. Made so many friends just chit chatting about beers. Thank you all so much for everything. There are lots of great shops in OC/LA. Keep supporting smallshops even if it's not mine. Loyalty matters.
