What are some liquor stores that usually have a good selection of craft kegs? I am having a party July 19th and I am looking to get a keg of beer. In the past I have gone to the Four Fikins for my kegs but I would like to give my money to someone else this time. Thanks!
France 44 is the first store that comes to my mind. If your looking for something a little different Minnehaha Liquors carries Harriet kegs (or at least they used to). I could easily lose myself in a keg of Wooden Weizen.
Golden Valley Liquor Barrel also has a decent selection. Can't say how competitive the pricing is though...
If you're in the mood for a little road trip, the BrewFarm has a fairly large variety (18???) of 1/6 bbl (5.17 gallons) kegs for sale. Message me for a list! FarmerD
I used to stock my old Keezer with Kegs from Zipp's, The beer buyer said that if you give him a few weeks notice he would do his best to get the keg I wanted (within reason). ^ But FarmerD has a good idea! I found it strange when I was at NoDa and saw people coming in to buy kegs, Im assuming MN liquor laws forbid this ?
Heritage is good as well, again with notice can get ya almost anything. For big boy liquor stores I saw some Liftbridge and some other but not many options at Total Wine in Roseville. I usually would frequent others, but man the road trip to the BrewFarm... I could use one more keg for my keezer.
I picked up a keg of Indeed Day Tripper last weekend at Rum River Liquors in Ramsey, if you're near the northern suburbs.
