Anyone have suggestions for good bars around the Mt Sunapee area? Heading up there this weekend. Cheers!

    isn't shit really for craft

one mile west and salt hill

grafton and sullivan county aren't really the craft beer mecca I know I live there

but if you wanna just chill and drink some long trail or switchback you should be fine

The pub itself @ Sunapee is forgettable. Blah atmosphere & beer selection, but then again most beer tastes good after a ski day.

Flying Goose is nearby in New London - never been, but I enjoy their Ragged Red apres-ski at Ragged Mtn.

If you are going through New London hit the Flying Goose (if their Chocolate Milk Stout is still on, order that!) as mentioned above, or Peter Christian's right on Main Street. They have a pretty good taplist though not very big. Their wings are the best I've ever had.

I love the house beers at Flying Goose brewpub.

I'll second everything he said here, the wings are baked not fried and they are great and the IPA at Flying Goose is good too.

Grab a Pigs Ear, and go stand in the afternoon sun on the deck. Better yet, get there early, back the truck up to the "beach", unload the tailgating essentisls, and enjoy what you brought in a solo cup. You'll bring better food, music, combustibles, and beer, than you can find, ftw!

Another vote for the Flying Goose in New London. Good food and good beer. As a Colby-Sawyer College (New London) alumni, I'm a bit biased.
