Any suggestions where to find decent NE style IPA's in MB now that the Piggly Wiggly is closed? Driving through Virginia Beach, Wilmington, etc....So I'm not opposed to a detour or 2.
Grape & Gourmet in VA Beach is a very good shop. Three Notch'd Brewing - Minute Man is a popular one similar of the style and is a year round now from VA. If you have time to stop then try Esoteric for a beer bar. They get The Veil from time to time on draft. Have never been to Lighthouse Beer & Wine in Wilmington/Wrightsville Beach but have friends who say it's solid
As far as I am aware, only the Piggly Wiggly Market Commons closed but that was by far the best spot to get bottles/cans when visiting Myrtle Beach.
Yeah here at the beach best bet is some two claw. Don't think it's been canned since a lil over a month tho? If you make the drive to Charleston on the otherhand.....
Might not quite be New England-style, but New South's Dirty Myrtle is delicious. I'd check with the brewery to see if they have it on.
Since I will be headed back sometime this late Spring/early Summer, are there any stores that have a decent selection of singles? My usual stop had been Piggly Wiggly Market Common but since that closed... I'll be staying at the Northern end of Myrtle Beach if that helps narrow down any recommendations.
Did the guy who ran the Piggly Wiggly beer department ever get his own place? I'm thinking there was a gofundme? or something of the sort for his own bottle shop.

Pavillion Beverage 1301 Highway 17 S North Myrtle Beach, SC 29582 ETA... The lowes foods on international drive has a beer den, but I have never been there, so I don't know what the selection is like.

Tomorrow we will start resetting the entire beer department to bring back the awesomeness that has been missing since TMC Pig closed.
