I hear you, and much along the line of what I was thinking, though not exactly. I don't do as much of the "pick up for me" as the "send me what is good", saves me the trouble of having to follow what is out there! Course, you have to find guys who know your tastes. And @Justdoit1234 knows I am a major pain in the ass on that front....

This guy! I've met some picky drinkers that only like a certain style etc, but this guy takes the cake(probably doesn't like that either). I don't think he's had a DIPA under a 98 that he's liked. I resorted to sending swag and Quest Bars to retaliate for some of his boxes lol.

I have a regular trade partner, we're about to do our 6th trade, and I've stopped doing the trade requests with him. It helps that our first trade was IP and we hung out for a few hours having beers and getting to know each other, so I consider him a long distance friend. I've no worries about getting burned on a trade, and i don't think he does either, so we don't bother with the formalities.

I have had the pleasure of meeting @BigStein88 and swapping boxes with @Justdoit1234. These guys are perfect examples of this community. Its not about trading, stats or who has what but the sharing of beer with other like minded people. I think both of these guys would be insulted if I asked for a formal trade request. For these guys and many others on BA its about sharing beers and the joy that comes with the hobby. In addition if someone reaches out to me and starts up a conversation hey I heard you have Pliny would love to try it, I don't do a formal request I send it. If later on that person wants to send something back for thanks great but if not no loss.

though I would not be insulted I could care less about stats. I have already made more "trading" friends than I can keep up with on here. Maybe I have just been lucky, or maybe it is my outlook, but I would send beers blind to almost everyone I have traded with on here...
