I am down with the family for the week in Destin. I found the best shop in the area (chan's wine world), but am wondering if there any "must try" beers on the shelf right now. Specifically, are there any unbalanced hop forward ipa/dipa?

I grabbed a 4pk of Terrapin Hopzilla and found it sweet and slightly boozy but not overly hoppy. Grabbed a 6 of Brew Bus Last stop and it's pretty decent, but more floral that citrus characters. I got to try Jai Alai on draft at a pizza shop, but no cans. Are there any good examples of hop forward west coast ipas out now?

Also, are there any others notable coffee stouts besides WnB I should look for?

Any other suggestions of other styles are appreciated. I am from the Midwest so I have access to Bells, Founders, etc.

Also recommend finding Jai Alai in cans. Not sure what shops they have in Destin but try grocery and liquor stores.

Sweetwater IPA is a west-coast style IPA that is pretty good and should be available around there. Check the bottle dates though so you don't get a 6 pack that's been sitting around.

Jai Alai. Humidor Series IPA and Tocabaga Red are three of my favorite cans from CCB. I doubt you will find any WnB laying around. Usually gets snatched up quick. Enjoy!

Fat Head's HeadHunter? Not sure if it's available up there or not, we see it frequently here in the Tampa area. Another good one is Tampa Bay Brewing Company Old Elephant Foot

You might find some old Head Hunter around here. Maybe some fresh Sculpin, Straight to Ale Monkeynauht, or Red Brick Hoplanta may tickle your fancy.
