    Something Dark, Alcoholic and Expensive.

Usually something like Alesmith Speedway Stout or a Belgian like Gulden Draak.

It was Cantillon and Pannepot last year and will probably be the same this year!

I'll bring some big bottles to share with the family. I enjoy hearing what the 2 beer nerds and non nerds have to say about them.

Chimay Blue, but this year I get to include an old favorite thanx to an oustanding BA, wvsabbath. Great Lakes Christmas ale will grace my table.

Me too! For the past few years I have had my own Belgian Beer Week right before Christmas. This year it is starting December 13th and running through Christmas Eve. During that time I will drink Belgian styles made by Ommegang or Goose Island or real Belgians like Chimay, Gulden Draak, Corsendonk, Gouden Carolus, etc. each day.

Many years ago, long before I had ever heard the phrase 'Craft Beer' I used to go to Beers of the World right before Christmas each year and buy a bunch of Samuel Smith's and drink them on Christmas Day.

To me, Christmas is the absolute best time of the year for beer.

Last year I sipped on a bottle of Oak Horizontal from Victory Brewing... Not sure what I'm going to have this year yet... Either another Oak Horizontal, or some of the BCBS I just bought...

Hello all, ive been meaning to ask and this thread fits what I am after, but between all the rochefort's, what would everyone prefer to drink on christmas eve/day? Have access to all 3 and just wanted to see peoples preferences. My apologies on thread jacking

Xmas Eve is normally a BA gem from the cellar - this year will be 2011 BA Rasputin. Xmas is always a three year vertical of Trader Joe's Vintage Ale, followed by some barleywines. Might open a 2009 WWS on Christmas, too.

Three Philosophers. It tastes just like those cherry cordials (those chocolate covered cherries you usually see only around this time of year) and those are also Christmas tradition.

By the time we're married it will have been a full year. I proposed to her a little over a month ago haha. So I guess I should have put that every time until this coming Christmas Eve she was my girlfriend.

I take an entire bottle of Hardywood Gingerbread Stout to the face on Christmas Eve night. Unfortunately, that seems to become less enjoyable each year. I plan to continue doing it though.

Not yet, maybe I'll start one in about 18 years if my good fortune continues.
