That is one of those "it depends" answers to the question. In some cases, the name Jones may prefix a number of different beers from a brewery so they should include the style. In some cases, it might be a part of the name as the brewery has named it Jones' Imperial Stout - a good way to check that I use is to check if all of the beer names from the brewery include the style, I usually omit it but if it is only true for a couple I would tend to include it.

And I, for one, thank you all for the time and effort. It does make a difference.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread when I linked to that same post:

So hopefully that can be clarified to avoid confusion.

Now that you mention it, I'm glad to see Boquerón's (a small brewery in Puerto Rico with less than 20 beers and less than 50 reviews, that almost nobody knows about) entries have been updated. Hopefully big names like Goose Island, Weihenstephan, Lagunitas, etc. will get updated just as fast since they have way more exposure. Keep up the good work, we highly appreciate it!

It should be noted that in the case of Weihenstephan their beer names are actually "Weihenstephaner" plus the style, which is a possessive form. Therefore these should keep the brewery name.

And I completely agree but then the following was posted on this same thread when you asked. So yeah... :smirk:

You can decipher what the beer name is. Having a photo helps

Think it was more about getting in "IPA" and omitting "Fred's"
