I'd call Hopslam very creamy, but I don't know about chewy - I'd say the same about Anchor Porter - maybe I haven't been at it long enough to distinguish the difference.

I dont get that with hopslam at all. Hopslam has honey in it which makes it have a syrupy thicker body which to me is what OP was looking for in "meatier".

That makes sense if we're talking about the initial flow - but when I let 'slam roll around on my tongue for a while, it gets so silky and creamy, it's unreal. Really a unique beer, I love it.

I wouldn't know about that I just drink the beer.... never have really let it sit in my mouth and swished it around like mouthwash

haha, I wouldn't recommend agressive swishing and gargling by any means - but if you just suck it straight down your missing out on some charming aspects of the beer. This type of drinking is of course not to be confused with what a friend of mine does - he'll take a swig of coors light and keep it in his mouth for no explicit reason at all, and he'll keep it there for 2 solid minutes. He's been known to fall asleep and spit beer all over himself.

First one, no brainer, very obvious. Not many beers are as chewy as this one.

Uncle Jacob, Worldwide Stout, and IIRC Mikeller Black are the thickest, most viscous, chewy beers I can recall having.

Barleywines have a much more substantial mouth-feel/texture IMO, as do reds, and of course stouts and wee heavies. For pales with a hearty body, Dogfish Head and Green Flash come to mind.

This. I used to think I was crazy for thinking certain beers were "meaty".

And "meaty" goes beyond mouth-feel into the realm of aroma and more than anything taste.

Oh, and as far as actually meaty, I would say Right Brain Mangalista Porter, from Traverse City, Michigan.

120 minute comes to mind as the most chewy beer I've ever had. It was like drinking pure sap or wheatgrass.
