    The first time I tried it was at a homebrew club meeting, I couldn't help but think "diacetyl is a major flaw".

    Open the J.W. Lees Calvados Cask. I had a five/six year bottle once and it didn't have much Calvados character, if any. I would get the standard, try one immediately and then hold onto the rest until they are 10 years old.

    Or, if you don't have the money, just skip the part about trying one bottle right away. A young bottle of J.W. Lees is a wasted bottle of J.W. Lees, in my opinion.
