    ...which leads to the next question...where do I find the water report for my city (Kalamazoo)? The city website has a report, but it doesn't seem to have the mineral levels of what's important for brewing. Anyone know how to go about getting that?

    Call the city water authority.

    Can you say what maltsters you've had good luck with? I believe I have mostly used Briess but possibly have also used weyermann

    I was directed here for the water info...I don't know how to read it, but I think it's missing what I need...

    Ca = Calcium
    Mg = Magnesium
    Na = Sodium
    Cl = Chloride
    SO4 = Sulfates
    Alkalinity as HCO3 or CaCO3 = Alkalinity as Bicarbonate or Alkalinity as Calcium Carbonate

    Also, I'd recommend reading the Water Knowledge pages at Bru'nWater, and the White Papers at @utahbeerdude's site.
