I like that I get an email when I get a new BM. The alerts are killer too. I can follow conversations a lot more closely. Someone quotes you, you get an alert, and can go respond.

Haven't used "What's new" yet, but I'm sure it'll become very useful as the forum fills up.

I absolutely love the new forums. To the point where ill probably spend more time on here than I did with the old design

I love the new alert system. I think it will help the overall flow of the forums. There were several times on the old forum where I replied to someone hoping for a response and I would never get one, most likely because they didn't know I had replied to their post.

The new messaging system is pretty awesome as well.

Polls and being able to follow someone is nice too. I would like to see where it says "Member" under your name being able to just put in whatever as long as its not "staff" or "founder" or something that would make it so you looked like you were a mod if your not. Just a one word title for yourself, like home brewer or something. Seen that in other forums Im a part of.

Also like the home brewing section is broken up into 2 sections

    I like the "like" option.
I wish there was a way to like the "like" button by clicking "like."

I can't say I'm too crazy about "What's New" - it's just the old front page, minus the handy ability to ignore all the forums of no interest. I certainly don't dislike it, but with the amazing "Alerts" feature I can't see myself finding the need to see what's new.

Agreed; it was always annoying having to check a thread over and over again to see whether or not someone had responded to your post. The alerts are a godsend.

The alert system, watched threads, the news feed. I'm already at 3. I love the new site.

This is by far the greatest convenience of the new forum. Seriously...clicking on a big thread and hitting spacebar all the way through to see which posts are new and which aren't was a horrible waste of time.

    I've got a few.

1 - Conversations: I love having all the previous messages there and don't need to worry about a 5,000 character limit like before
    2 - Alert system
3 - Forum/page layout: Multiple pages is much easier and nicer than a super long thread I need to continuously scroll through to get to the bottom.

Agreed. I can't say I love everything about how Facebook esque the forum is now but being able to follow people you actually know is cool.

Yes, I love not having the 5,000 character limit. Now you don't have to delete the previous three days worth of beermail from your next message. Genius!

I would really love to see "Member" replaced by state or city. this is especially useful for trading or when someone asks for a rec.

That has been mentioned before a couple of times, but I think its been shot down by the Bros.
