Just brewed my first beer and I'm stoked! Thought I would share it with you all. We decided to do the White House Honey Porter as are first batch. Team America!

Awesome, and congrats! You may want to cover that carboy with something like a black trash bag (poke a hole for the airlock to stick through. Light, especially sunlight, can skunk your beer as the fermentation goes along (and after). It's not as risky with a dark beer, but I cover them all.

It's in my closet. All that light is from the iPhone 4 camera light for the picture. But it's DARK in there 99% of the time.

Congrats on your first batch man, let us know how it turns out!
It's nice to see you didn't overlook the essential step of drinking beer whilst you brew.
May I ask are you keeping it cool somehow?

It's in a closet next to the A/C unit. It's at about 68 degrees. Definitely had to have some beers doing the brewing.

Definitely keep it cool if you can. Beer will be much better in the long run from it.

Congrats on the first brew in the books. Be sure to take notes when you brew, and enjoy it above all. It's ADDICTING. I find I buy less beer, so I can buy more grain.

I don't know why, but this photo got me stoked on brewing. Bunch of bros hanging out brewing/drinking. It's just awesome.
