My profile page information erased?

    Hi,

    I went to update my personal details today on my account page and all of the sudden, they're gone.

    Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so, does anyone know if backups are kept of account info?

    This is not a bug. Any account fields referencing the old "bad beer trader list" or other offensive materials were purged. This impacted less than 160 member profiles. If there's certain information that you'd like to add back, you can try to Google your BA profile and grab it from their cache.
    1. Search for "<your member name> beeradvocate.com"
    2. Find the link to your profile. It'll be "<your member name> | BeerAdvocate Community"
    3. Click the tiny down arrow next to the link/text and select "Cached" in the drop down.

    This happened to me as well and the option for Google cache is only for your local machine. If you browse in-private or have cleared your cache since the last time you viewed your profile, it will not work. Any other recommendations for the folks that have had their profiles scrubbed?

    Note: Unfortunately cached copies won't be available for everyone, and those chances increase hourly. It all depends on Google's indexing.

    I just checked on my profile to see the name of someone I had traded with
    and all my trade information so I have no trades listed and had a whole list of people, likes, dislikes and shirt size and BIF's particiapate, etc. are erased not on there anymore? has anyone else had this happen? did an administrator take all my information off????

    If you had a link to the old bad trader's list, everything in your profile got scrubbed. I thought I saw a thread in the feedback/help or trading help forum on how to use Google cache to recover your profile information.

    i had to report this guy last year because he was in a BIF that I ran and he did not send and was unable to contact him so after that I had the link on my profile page didn't realize that was ground to get my information scrubbed
    will try to find that link darn i needed to know the name of this guy i did a trade with wanted to contact him lol
