I believe that variety is the spice of life. While my husband drinks nothing but 10 oz. Bud in a can (only in Cajun Country!) I like to try different beers of many different flavors. My friend, Glenetta, and I visited La Truffe Sauvage restaurant in Lake Charles, LA recently for a new culinary experience. It is here that I was introduced to La Fin du Monde beer. I thought Blue Moon was delicious! La Fin transported me to beer heaven! Pure deliciousness! I drank the entire huge bottle by myself and wanted more! Cudos to the restaurant the the delectable food and the excellent, attentive service, but also for introducing me (Kevin is responsible) to this amazing beer. I crave more and am on a mission to find a vendor in my area. I am now, and forever, a La Fin du Monde fan!

Welcome to the wonderful world of abbey-style ales! Now that you've found a style you like (tripels), you can do what the rest of us do - make it your mission in life to try as many of that style as you possibly can.

La Fin du Monde = terrific beer. I'd also suggest you give the Westmalle Tripel a try. It shouldn't be too hard to find and for a long time it was considered the ``standard'' of that style.
