I’m real excited about the local options available for this summer. I’ve settled on this core lineup that I am going to try to have at least six of each on hand at all times. All pretty affordable too.

    Kolsch-Summit Summer
    IPA-Summit Saga
Hefe-Sierra Kellerweiss (until Schell Hefe is out)
    Dunkel Weizen-Summit Unchained
Dunkel Lager-Schell Stag Czech Dark Lager
    Pilsner-Sam Adams Noble Pils
Lawnmower Beer #1-Grain Belt Nordeast 16 ounce cans
Lawnmower Beer #2-Grain Belt Premium 16 ounce cans

*Pale Ale-Lucette Easy Rider (when it becomes available)

Going to be a good summer.

45 years old and put up 350 last summer last time I maxed...hurt my shoulder since then so I do not go real heavy any more (no that that is heavy for some folks)....how bout you?

I do 12 ounce curls quite a bit, sometimes even 16 ounce ones.

Given the size of Boston Brewing I find it odd how rarely I see Noble Pils on the shelves which is why I will usually pick up some Sierra Nevada Summerfest for my Pils fix.

I like to mix Alaskan Summer and Schell Zommerfest in for Kolsches too.

I really like the Schell Stag Czech Lager but once was enough at that price.

6 packs...not sure if they are doing it in 12ers or not.

Just giving you a hard time about your picture...That is very impressive though, you can certainly back the pic up!

Solid beer list. I would suggest switching out your Sam Adams or Lawnmower beer #2 with Shift by New Belgium. Had it at the golf course the other day when it was like 90 degrees out. Only craft beer they had and it was an excellent lager.

A good list. I will be buying a lot of Saga this summer, with some NG Black top and Dancin Man thrown in. I could survive on those 3 alone.

Sounds like Lucette Easy rider cans wont be out this year, they are only canning Farmers Daughter to start. Apparently that is their best seller. Not enough capacity either.

Going to hit the Firk over lunch and then mow the lawn after work. I am thinking Hell>Summit Summer>Furious. Is it 5:00 yet?

    Additionally, I benched 315 back in '01. I don't know if I could get 250 now though.

    Great list,

I probably will hit most of those beers myself. I'm going to add Boulevard Zon...great beer when fresh

Gets pretty spendy to have those as your 'go to' summer brews. I tend to lean towards 12pk values, or the sub 8 dollar sixers. Thankfully there is a pretty stellar selection of said brews around.

I've recently developed a fondness for Lawnmower Beer #2 - aka "the big friendly"...yes it sure can be.
A fresh Commodore Perry certainly doesn't suck either.

It goes quickly...If I miss even a couple of weeks at this age I drop off dramatically in what I can do (reps, weight etc) and then need twice the time to work my way back up....getting old sucks but is manageable....I should also point out I go 270 pounds so 375 is not that great of a lift really....decent but nothing extraordinary...I've seen guys weighing about 185 repping 350 six times....now that is impressive...then again they were 22 or so

Enjoying one right now...I like sweeter macros so this is right up my alley. Love the 16 OZ big friendly! Definitely my go to American Lager these days although I can live with Coors (and High Life for that matter) as well and once in awhile don't mind a Bud which has a somewhat unique flavor for a macro lager..

That is a great point on the prices...no shit...a case of Hell 16 ouncers would run about 60 bucks....i just got a case of Nordeast 16's for 20 bucks...also got a case of Summit Unchained Dunkel Weizen for $32 and a case of Alpine Spring for $20 (a little out of date but not bad). Kellerweiss I paid $32 for a case.

So yes adding something like Hell (while a hell of a beer) has to be more of a special occasion beer for me rather than a stand-by I will have on hand at all times...that's fine....
