Wife and I are looking at staying a week in Garden City just south of Myrtle in mid-February. Will not be venturing out other than to get the essentials, which obviously includes beer(!), and I am looking to play 2-3 rounds of golf. A few questions: 1) How is the Covid situation in the Myrtle Beach area? 2) From prior MB threads (now closed), it seems that Byrd's Beer at the Pig (Piggly Wiggly) and Owens Liquors in Pawleys Island were the top bottle shop recommendations. Is that still the case? 3) For the golfers out there, we are staying closest to four courses that are all new to me: Blackmoor, International Club, TPC Myrtle Beach, and Wachesaw Plantation East. Any of those must plays/must avoids? Thanks in advance for any and all feedback/suggestions!
*ONLY thing I can suggest is North Myrtle Beach's Pavilion Discount Beverage bottle stash and/or growler filling station... * = It's been a longgg while since I have scoped it out myself, but it WAS a real panty-dropper. #TBH
Thanks. I think?!? Unfortunately I won't be venturing to the North Myrtle area but will keep that in mind for future trips.
There is a Greens Beverage on 29th Ave N, which is near Broadway at the Beach, about 1 mile north of 501. Not sure if you are heading close to that area but they usually have a good selection of beers.
Imo the best selection in the area. Once the Pig shut down at Market Commons no idea down that way, but there is a Pig in 17 express just before Muriel’s Inlet. We always rent in Surfside or Garden City I avoid MB like the plague. One place not to miss is Old Chicago Pizza great beer selection on tap and in bottles, and Deep Dish pizza. On 17 business close to the main intersection into Garden City. Best restaurant is Flamingo Grill like 78 st N give or take phenomenal lobsters and prime rib.
