Have family headed to Myrtle next week and wondering if anyone can suggest some beers (other than Westbrook, definitely getting that) they might be able to pickup down there that are not available in New Jersey .

    Thanks

Eh not really bro. MB isn't really a haven of craft beers. At least not since the last time I was there a year or two ago.

Check out the Places directory here. Haven't been to Myrtle Beach in some years, but as I remember, the Piggly Wiggly had a surprisingly good selection.

But you'll have to let your family know what you can get there and don't want so they know not to get it.

Yeah, FWIW I was just at the Wiggly and they do have a great selection.

Check out Charleston's Coast, too- they had them at the Wiggly. I didn't have a bad beer while I was there (at the brewery). Actually, Holy City out of Charleston was pretty good too, although I didn't have any beers at the brewery that they have in the store (Piggly Wiggly).

That's generally true, but the Piggly Wiggly at Market Commons -- which many have already cited -- has a great selection.

Yep, seekabrew.com is usually great for this sort of thing. In this case, they say that the following breweries distribute to SC but not NJ:

    Atwater
    Bells
    Big Wood
    Bottle Tree
    Cascade (Raccoon Lodge)
    Cigar City [Limited]
    COAST Brewing Co.
    Duck-Rabbit
    Evil Twin
    Foothills
    Gordon Biersch [Limited]
    Grand Teton
    Highland
    Lazy Magnolia
    New Belgium
    NoDa
    Olde Mecklenburg [Limited]
    Red Brick (formerly Atlanta Brewing)
    River Dog
    RJ Rockers
    Rust Belt
    Shelton Brothers (importers)
    Southern Star
    Sweetwater
    Thirsty Dog
    Thomas Creek
    Westbrook
    Williamsburg AleWerks

Just because some of these breweries distribute in SC doesn't mean they're in Myrtle Beach, though (like NoDa and OMB, for example). But it's a start!
